Item 1a had and abatement date of 06/27/2017 and item 1b had a due date of 07/06/2017.  b) The employer did not provide certification of abatement for repeat serious citation 2, item 1, for a June 2, 2017 inspection that was issued June 21, 2017.  Item 1 had and abatement date of 06/27/2017.   c) The employer did not provide certification of abatement for repeat other-than-serious citation 2, item 2, for a June 2, 2017 inspection that was issued June 21, 2017. The employer has not instituted a training program and ensured employee participation in the program:    a) The employer does not ensure that employees who are performing steel siding activities, recognize the hazard of working over 24 feet high without any type of fall protection. The employees and the employer are not taking corrective actions to minimize the hazard. This condition was most recently observed on June 2, 2017 at 1300 West Overland Road, Meridian, ID.     Steel Concepts was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.761(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 493538, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on November 24, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Dell Airstrip, Dell MT 59724. 29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Except as provided by paragraph (a)(3) of this section, each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level is not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems or fall restraint systems:  a) The employer does not ensure that employees are using a fall protection system when exposed to serious fall hazards.   An employee performing steel siding installation activities  worked on a 2 foot wide ledge, 24 and a half feet above the concrete below without a fall protection system in place.  This condition was most recently observed on June 2, 2017 at 1300 West Overland Road, Meridian ID.    Steel Concepts, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 493538, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on November 24, 2012, with respect to a workplace located at Dell Airstrip, Dell, MT 59724.
