29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On or about 2 June 2017, and at times prior thereto, employees retrieving cabinet doors from the TimeSaver Wide Belt Sander would do so in a manner that put their hands near an ingoing pinch point on the conveyor belt, exposing the employees to an amputation hazard.

29 CFR 1910.242(b): Compressed air used for cleaning purposes was not reduced to less than 30 p.s.i. pressure. On or about 2 June 2017, and at times prior thereto, employees used compressed air at a pressure of approximately 92 psi for cleaning purposes. No safety relief device was found on the nozzle to prevent hazards from flying projectiles.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords and cables were not connected to devices and fittings so that strain relief was provided that would prevent pull from being directly transmitted to joints or terminal screws. On or about 2 June 2017, and at times prior thereto, an extension cord providing power to a DeWalt Chop Saw was lying in wood dust with strain relief damage at the plug, exposing employees working in and around the area to a fire and electrical hazard.
