29 CFR 1910.178(g)(2): Facilities shall be provided for flushing and neutralizing spilled electrolyte, for fire protection, for protecting charging apparatus from damage by trucks, and for adequate ventilation for dispersal of fumes from gassing batteries. a. At the workplace, in the pipe and drape area, a FLX 200 battery charging apparatus was damaged and not protected from damage by forklifts, thereby exposing employees to an electrical hazard. b. At the workplace, in the pipe and drape area, a Power Factor battery charging apparatus was not protected from damage by forklifts, thereby exposing employees to an electrical hazard.
