29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about June 6, 2017, during the installation of siding and sheet metal material for the re-construction of a church steeple, located at 37711 Detroit Road Avon, Ohio, the employer did not ensure employees were protected from fall hazards of varying heights of approximately 18 feet (roof to ground) and 8 feet (roof to ground), while working from the 6/12 pitch (slope) church roof. The employees were not utilizing a guardrail system, safety net system, and/or other fall protection system or device. WEATHERTIGHT CONSTRUCTION, INC., WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 816461, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 004 AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON NOVEMBER 23, 2013, WITH RESPECT TO A WORK PLACE LOCATED AT 3900 BROADWAY AVENUE, LORAIN, OHIO.
