29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: On or about June 8, 2017, located in the paint booth area where an employee wore a 3M half-face respirator with organic vapor cartridges on a volunteer basis when performing painting tasks without a medical evaluation. Interstate US Auto Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.134(e)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1176660, citation number 1, item number 2a, and was affirmed as a final order on March 14, 2017 with respect to a workplace located at 4201 Langley Rd., Houston, TX 77093.

29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer: On or about June 8, 2017, located in the paint booth area where an employee wore a 3M half-face respirator with organic vapor cartridges on a volunteer basis when performing painting tasks without providing basic respirator training. Interstate US Auto Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1910.134(k)(6) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1176660, citation number 1, item number 2b, and was affirmed as a final order on March 14, 2017 with respect to a workplace located at 4201 Langley Rd., Houston, TX 77093.
