29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  On or about June 1, 2017, at Lot 202, 826 Sunset Park Lane, and Lot 206, 796 Sunset Park Lane, Suwanee, Georgia:  Two employees performing framing work were exposed to struck-by hazards from wood chips, sawdust, and drywall dust while operating saws and nail guns without using eye protection.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder(s) were used for purposes other than the purpose for which they were designed:  On or about June 1, 2017, at Lot 202, 826 Sunset Park Lane, and Lot 206, 796 Sunset Park Lane, Suwanee, Georgia:  An employee performing framing work was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 5-feet when the stood on the rails of an unopened 10-foot aluminum A-frame ladder that was leaned against the wall of a townhouse unit under construction.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or top step of a stepladder was used as a step:  On or about June 1, 2017, at Lot 202, 826 Sunset Park Lane, and Lot 206, 796 Sunset Park Lane, Suwanee, Georgia:  a) Five employees performing framing work were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10-feet and greater when they used the top step of an A-frame ladder to climb from the ground to the second floor.   b) Five employees performing framing work were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 8-feet to greater than 25-feet  when they lifted the A-frame ladder used in instance a up to the second floor and then used the top step of that same A-frame ladder to climb from the second floor to the trusses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):   On or about June 1, 2017, at Lot 202, 826 Sunset Park Lane, and Lot 206, 796 Sunset Park Lane, Suwanee, Georgia:  Five employees performing framing work were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 25-feet and greater when they worked above lower levels and from the trusses of a building without using fall protection.   Leonel Martinez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 925017, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on October 8, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 2686 Telfare Drive, Smyrna, Georgia.
