29 CFR 1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered:    (a) Foundry - Tinker Omega Fast Loop No-Bake Sand Line - On or about 6/21/17, employees have exposure to molten aluminum splashes (temperature of about 1350- 1380 degrees F) during the following operations : 1) Adding aluminum ingots to furnaces; 2) Adding  Reeli-Klean Al 542 to the furnaces ; 3) Removing slag; 4)Pouring molten aluminum from the furnace to a crucible; 5) Pouring molten aluminum from a crucible to sand molds.  Employees were not provided with protective clothing for the arms and torso that has been tested for protection against molten aluminum splashes.    b) Foundry - Plaster mold casting - On or about 6/21/17, employees have exposure to molten aluminum splashes (temperature of about 1350- 1380 degrees F) during the following operations : 1) Adding aluminum ingots to furnaces; 2) Adding  Reeli-Klean Al 542 to the furnaces ; 3) Removing slag; 4) Scooping and carrying molten aluminum from the furnace using a hand ladle; 5) Pouring molten aluminum from a hand ladle to the plaster molds.
