This most recently occurred on June 20, 2017 on the jobsite located at 16811 Burndette St, Omaha, NE 68116. Employees were observed using pneumatic nail guns to install roofing material without any form of eye or face protection.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: The employer is failing to ensure that all employees exposed to fall hazards while working on a commercial roof are utilizing fall protection. This most recently occurred on June 20, 2017 on the jobsite located at 16811 Burndette St, Omaha, NE 68116. Employees were observed working on the roof of a 3-story assisted living facility with a 6 in 12 steep sloped roof at heights greater than 6 feet above the ground. Jose Medrano, dba Jose Construction, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 907026, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 11, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 903 Second Ave, Kearney, NE 68847.
