29 CFR 1910.213(h)(3): Radial saw(s) were not provided with an adjustable stop to prevent the forward travel of the blade beyond the position necessary to complete the cut in repetitive operations:    (a)  BUILDING 2 (LOWER) - Employees used a Black and Decker DeWalt 16 inch radial saw to cut wood stock to manufacture pallets, and the saw was not equipped with a stop to prevent the blade from travelling past the stock and allowed the blade to travel approximately twelve inches past the edge of the table, which thereby exposed the operator(s) to amputation hazards, on or about June 21, 2017. (b)  BUILDING 2 (LOWER) - Employees used the Dismantler horizontal pallet dismantling band saw (green) to disassemble pallets, and the blade of the saw was not guarded from contact, thereby exposing employees to serious injury and amputation hazards, on or about June 21, 2017.    Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.    D & J Pallet Services Inc was previously cited for a violation of an equivalent Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.213(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1005043, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 15, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 548 Landisburg Road, Landisburg, PA 17040.

D & J Pallet Services Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard29 CFR 1910.213(h)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1005043, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on July 15, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 548 Landisburg Road, Landisburg, PA 17040.
