29 CFR 1910.178(q)(1): Any power-operated industrial truck not in safe operating condition shall be removed from service. All repairs shall be made by authorized personnel. WORKSHOP: The propane gas powered Clark powered industrial truck (PIT) was not inspected and examined on a daily basis before and after each use. On/or about June 29, 201, an operator of the Clark powered industrial truck (PIT) was moving materials to the loading dock and observed a propane gas leak and noticed an odor from the PIT.
