29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about July 17, 2017 and times prior thereto at the worksite located at or near 1310 Aldersgate Road in Little Rock, Arkansas, employees were observed with handheld saws and other power tools on the roof without eye protection. This condition exposes employees to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. On or about July 17, 2017 and times prior thereto, at the worksite located at or near 1310 Aldersgate Road in Little Rock, Arkansas, employees were observed framing the third story of an apartment building without any type of fall protection. This condition exposed employees to fall from height hazards.
