Inc. at 847 South Columbine Street Denver, CO 80209:  On or before July 27, 2017, the employer did not ensure that scaffolds were erected by employees under the direction of competent persons.  The employer was erecting a fabricated frame scaffold on and around a two-story single family home without the use of fall protection.  This condition exposed employees to fall hazards of up to approximately 16 feet.

This condition may result in employees improperly erecting, dismantling, or altering a scaffold and potentially exposing themselves and others to safety hazards.  Abatement note:  The training should include:  a)  The nature of scaffold hazards; b)  The correct procedures for erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining the type of scaffold in question; c)  The design criteria, maximum intended load-carrying capacity and intended use of the scaffold; and d)  Any other pertinent requirements of this subpart.
