OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and crushing hazards: a) Work Site was located at 17th Street and Coles Street, Jersey City, NJ 07310 Employees were exposed to struck by hazards as they were pressure testing pipe using a MegaLug pipe fitting that was not torqued down to properly secure it to the pipe. Violation occurred on or about 7/27/17. b) Work Site was located at 17th Street and Coles Street, Jersey City, NJ 07310 Employees were exposed to struck by hazards as they were pressure testing pipe using pneumatic testing instead of hydrostatic testing. Violation occurred on or about 7/27/17.
