29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Site: Intersection of Cole Street and 10th Street Jersey City, NJ (Cole Street Bridge) While employees engaged in bridge demolition activities; the employer did not insure that personal fall arrest systems were utilized or adequate guard rail system was installed to ensure that employees were protected from a 20 foot fall to the ground. Violation occurred on or about 08/02/2018
