29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. (a) Patriot Construction Services, Inc. on or about August 02, 2017, at the address of 35955 Chester Rd. Avon, OH: The employer did not ensure employees tasked with the installation of siding material from an elevated roof deck were adequately protected from falls. Employees cutting and securing siding material from the elevated surface without the benefit of fall protection were exposed to an approximate 16 ft. fall to the ground below.
