29 CFR 1915.75(d): Railings approximately 42 inches in height, with a midrail, were not provided on the edges of wing walls of floating dry docks or on edges of graving docks. a) Floating dry dock, east wing wall: The guardrail at the control center was missing a midrail. Employees were exposed to fall hazards of 15 feet to the dry dock floor. b) Floating dry dock, north side of east wing wall: A section of the top rail was missing after being struck and damaged by a vessel. Employees were exposed to fall hazards over 15 feet to the water below. c) Floating dry dock, north side of east wing wall: A section of the top rail was measured at 47 inches above the walking platform after being struck and damaged by a vessel. Employees were exposed to fall hazards over 15 feet to the water below. d) Floating dry dock, north side of east wing wall: A section of the top rail was measured at 36 inches above the walking platform after being struck and damaged by a vessel. Employees were exposed to fall hazards over 15 feet to the water below.
