29 CFR 1910.157(e)(4): Stored pressure dry chemical portable fire extinguishers that require a 12 year hydrostatic test were not emptied and subjected to applicable maintenance procedures every 6 years: (a) On the north wall of the NRCS facility the Badger B10K fire extinguisher had not bee hydrostatic tested when it reached 12 years. Tags on the extinguisher were dated back to 1981.

29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): Portable fire extinguishers were not subjected to an annual maintenance check: (a) On the north wall of the NRCS facility a Badger B10K fire extinguisher had not been inspected since 2014. (b) In the Dodge Dakota pickup A351868 the Amerex B417 fire extinguisher dated 2010 had not received an annual inspection. The USDS-NRCS was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 19100.157(e)(3) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1219598, Notice number 1, Item 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/27/2017 with respect to a workplace located at 605 E. State St, Algona, IA 50511.
