29 CFR 1926.453(a)(2): Aerial lifts may not be "field modified" for uses other than those intended by the manufacturer unless the modification has been certified in writing by the manufacturer and/or by any other equivalent entity, such as a nationally recognized testing laboratory, to be in conformity with all applicable provisions of ANSI A92.2-1969 and this section and to be at least as safe as the equipment was before modification: a) Pride Station Riverdale St., West Springfield, MA: On or about August 4, 2017, an employee was observed working from a raised vehicle mounted aerial lift that had been modified by the addition of a lifting apparatus to be used as a crane. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).

Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
