29 CFR 1926.102(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee who wears prescription lenses while engaged in operations that involve eye hazards wears eye protection that incorporates the prescription in its design, or wears eye protection that can be worn over the prescription lenses without disturbing the proper position of the prescription lenses or the protective lenses.  a) At the jobsite, on or about August 9, 2017, an employee who was wearing prescription eyeglasses while performing wood framing activities that included operating portable electric hand tools such as circular saws was not using any other means of eye protection, resulting in a struck-by hazard.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  a) At the jobsite, on or about August 9, 2017, the employer did not provide fall protection training to employees working on a second working level while performing wood framing were exposed to open floor joists and exposed leading edges without fall protection provided, exposing employees to fall hazards of up to 24.6 feet onto the ground (outside the structure) or onto the concrete floor (inside the structure).

Eli Perez dba Perez Framing was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1170768, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 13, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 80 Oceanway South Jekyll Island, GA 31527.
