29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section. At the jobsite located at 500 SW Wanamaker, Topeka, KS: Employees engaged in masonry activities, outside the building near the job trailers, using a Dewalt grinder with a 5 inch cutting wheel attachment were exposed to struck by hazards in that the cutting wheel was not equipped with a guard.
