29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area:  a. On or about August 21, 2017, employees using welding materials such as, but not limited to aluminum, stainless steel, silicone rubber sealant, and tungsten electrodes while performing welding activities in the welding shop had not been provided with training on the health and physical hazards associated with these materials.

On or about August 21, 2017, the employer did not provide the information and an explanation of the new labeling system and safety data sheet format to employees who had exposure to hazardous materials such as but not limited to lacquer thinner, primer, paints, acetone, and welding materials.
