29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) 636 Westfield Ave., Elizabeth, NJ - The Grand at Westfield The employer did not ensure that employees engaged in commercial framing activities were protected from falls. Employees framing a commercial building were installing wood decking on the second level and were not provided fall protection by means of a guardrail system, safety net system, or using a personal fall arrest system. Violation observed on or about August 26, 2017 Custom Frame & Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1092748, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on January 29, 2016,with respect to a workplace located at 725 - 729 Edgar Road, Elizabeth, NJ.
