OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazards of being struck by fragments of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic pipe in the event that the PVC plastic pipe ruptured: a) Maintenance Shop, I-65 Service Road; On or about August 28, 2017 and at times prior, the employer exposed his employees to the hazard of being struck by fragments of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) plastic pipe in the event that the PVC plastic pipe ruptured. PVC plastic piping was used in exposed above ground locations to transport compressed air at 165 psi.
