29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(iv)(B): The review and update of the exposure control plan did not document annually consideration and implementation of appropriate commercially available and effective safer medical devices designed to eliminate or minimize occupational exposure: a) Workplace, 201 Lyons Avenue, Newark, NJ The employer failed to document, on an annual basis, the availability of up to date and effective safer medical devices. The Exposure Control Plan only included a list of sharps products used throughout the facility. Employees to include but not limited to nurses are exposed to blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) while administering injections using non retractable syringes. Violation occurred on or about 01/12/2018
