29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, shall be guarded. The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle.    Northwest, production, roll form department, Rousselle press brake model no. 10K80, serial no. 23751: on or about September 5, 2017, operators were assigned to remove punched and cut parts from the point-of-operation danger zone where adequate safeguarding was not provided to prevent operator's access to the point-of-operation. Operators removing finished parts had their fingers exposed to caught in-between hazard of closing dies likely to result in serious injury such as amputation.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
