29 CFR 1926.502(f)(1): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system, or on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, by the use of a safety monitor alone: a) Job site, 1150 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh, PA: On or about September 25, 2017, during roofing work, the employer did not ensure that employees used appropriate fall protection systems/devices where exposed to fall hazards of up to approximately 25 feet. Burns and Scalo Roofing Company Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, or its equivalent standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 11442299, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on June 2, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at/near 295 Butler Commons, Butler, PA.
