29 CFR 1926.304(d): Portable, power-driven circular saw(s) were not equipped with a guard above and below the base plate or shoe: (a) New townhome construction located at 10122 Windalier Way, Back side: On or about 10/18/2017, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to severe laceration and amputation hazards while operating circular saws, in that the lower guards on both saws were not retracting immediately after a cut was made as a wood shim was used to keep the lower guard from moving.
