29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: 407 Cambridge St., Worcester, MA: On or about October 18, 2017, three employees were exposed to falls at this location: a) Employees were exposed to falls of more than 10 feet above the ground below while framing the second story level of this residence under construction, b) Employees were exposed to falls of more than 6 feet while working near or passing the upper landing for the staircase, which had no guard rail. c) Employees were exposed to falls of more than 6 feet while using the staircase to access the upper level work location, which had no handrail. Specific abatement documentation that this violation has been corrected must be provided within 10 days of the abatement in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d)(1).
