Employees use chemical products such as flammable paints, thinners, and gasoline, cleaning products, and chlorinated pool chemicals. Some safety data sheets (SDSs) are available. At a minimum, the employer needs to prepare: 1. A list of chemical products used; 2. A complete collection of Safety Data Sheets; 3. Develop a written training and information program for employees; 4. Address the labeling system that will be used in the workplace.

The use of PPE is a job requirement. A written hazard assessment was not available that included the following elements: 1. Select and have each affected employee use the types of PPE that will protect them from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; 2. Communicate the selection decisions to each affected employee and; 3. Select PPE that properly fits each affected employee.
