29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i): Under the general component of the inspection program, the employer shall:       29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i)(C): Maintain a certification record of each inspection, and each maintenance and repair task performed, under the general component of the inspection program that includes the date of the inspection, maintenance, or repair work, the signature of the person who performed the inspection, maintenance, or repair work, and the serial number, or other identifier, of the power press inspected, maintained, and repaired:       a. On or before October 23, 2017, in the production/stamping area, the employer did not document the inspection activity for the quarterly PM inspections on the R2007 1200 ton Clearing press #7 including, but not limited to, the following:  recording clutch/brake system data including brake stopping time, clutch time, adjustments, and replacements.       b. On or before October 23, 2017, in the production/stamping area, the employer did not document and certify the daily inspections on the R2007 1200 ton Clearing press #7 including, but not limited to, the following: safe operating condition of the antirepeat feature and loose or missing guards on the two-hand controls.     c. On or before October 23, 2017, in the production/stamping area, the employer did not document the inspection activity every 9 months for the parallel, gib clearance of press & lift test inspections on the R2007 1200 ton Clearing press #7 including, but not limited to, the following:  recording indicator readings.

29 CFR 1910.217(f)(2): Instruction to operators. The employer shall train and instruct the operator in the safe method of work before starting work on any operation covered by this section. The employer shall insure by adequate supervision that correct operating procedures are being followed:   a. On or before October 23, 2017, in the production/stamping area, the employer did not insure by adequate supervision that correct operating procedures were being followed including, but not limited to, the following:  the use of wooden blocks in lieu of steel blocks to adjust magnet height and placing unnecessary tooling, equipment, and items into the press.
