29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. a) Foundation Steel, LLC on or about October 26, 2017, at the address of 15028 US 224 E Findlay, OH: The employer did not ensure employees performing steel erection activities atop a commercial structure were adequately protected from falls. Employees performing welding and final deck fastening atop the structure were exposed to falls of 16 ft. 2 in. to the ground below.
