29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b): Employees performing roofing work on a 6:12 pitch roof are not protected from a 12.5 feet fall hazard by the use of a fall protection system. a. The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on October 24, 2017, when two employees are working on a 6:12 pitch roof at 405 River Square Lane, Lot 69, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, without fall protection and were exposed to falls of approximately 12 feet to the ground below. Next Generation Roofing Contractors, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1219127, citation number 01, item number 001 and was affirmed as a final order on June 20, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 1101 N. Wymore Road, Maitland, FL 32751.
