29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  Location: 141-163 Bloomfield Ave, Verona,  NJ  a) Employees were exposed to a fall hazard of over 15 feet to the ground below as fall protection methods were not used while they were working/walking at unprotected edges at the construction site; on or about 10/26/17.

29 CFR 1926.451(e)(5)(i): Ramps and walkways 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels did not have guardrail systems that comply with subpart M of this part -- Fall Protection.  Location: 141-163 Bloomfield Ave, Verona,  NJ  a) An employee used a walkway that was not provided with a guardrail system thereby exposing the employee to a potential fall hazard of up to approximately 9 ft to the floor below; on or about 10/26/17.   The Hackensack Steel Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.451(e)(9)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1175991, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/6/16, with respect to a workplace located at 235 Pavonia Ave., Jersey City, NJ.
