29 CFR 1926.760(a)(1): Each employee engaged in a steel erection activity who is on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge more than 15 feet (4.6 m) above a lower level was not protected from fall hazards by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems, or fall restraint systems. On or about October 31, 2017 an employee was not protected from a fall while performing steel erection activities on a commercial project, exposing the employee to a fall of 16.1 feet. Complete Canopy Services, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.760(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 915404, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on September 26, 2013, with respect to a workplace located at 2500 Royal Ave. Madison WI 53716. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d)
