29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:  Employee(s) engaged in framing work at a commercial building under construction at 10816 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Shawnee, Kansas were exposed to hazards such as struck-by and fall hazards in that employee(s) were not instructed in the recognition of construction hazards and the methods to mitigate those hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  (a) Employees engaged in providing metal studs on the second floor to a framer standing in a motorized powered industrial lift outside the building at 10816 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Shawnee, Kansas were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 16 feet due no fall protection system being provided.  The standard railing had been removed on the north side of the building by the stairway for all of the framed glass areas.  (b) Employees engaged in providing metal studs on the second floor to a framer standing inside a motorized powered industrial lift outside the building at 10816 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Shawnee, Kansas were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet due to no fall protection system being provided for an open wall section at the north stairway.
