29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. On or about November 6, 2017, employees were exposed to being struck by hazards. The employees were performing framing activities on a new commercial building located at 310 Wick, Youngstown, Ohio 44406. Employees were using air powered nail guns without wearing safety glasses.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). On or about November 6, 2017, employees were exposed to a fall of approximately 48 feet. The employees were performing framing activities on a new commercial building located at 310 Wick, Youngstown, Ohio 44406. The employees were working on all areas of the roof without using any form of fall protection.
