29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:    Jobsite:  Employees engaged in the installation of a rubber membrane roof system were working near the edge of the building greater than sixteen (16) feet above the ground without training in fall protection enabling employees to recognize the hazards and the procedures to reduce the fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.      Jobsite:  Employees were working near the edge of a flat roof without the use of fall protection exposing them to a fall of greater than sixteen (16) feet to the crushed stone and concrete below.      Araujo Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1080537, citation number 1, item number 1b, and was affirmed as a final order on September 21, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 61 Portsmouth Avenue, Exeter, NH 03833.
