29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) Work site was located at 360 9th Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 Employee was exposed to fall hazards as he straddled the top step of an 8 foot a-frame ladder and a steel framed wall to steady a prefabricated wall that was being lifted to the floor he was working on. Violation was observed on or about October 6th, 2017.
