29 CFR 1910.213(r)(4): The mention of specific machines in 29 CFR 1910.213(a) thru (q) and 29 CFR 1910.213(r), inclusive, was not intended to exclude other woodworking machines from the requirement that suitable guards and exhaust hoods were provided to reduce to a minimum the hazard due to the point of operation of such machines. (A) At the wood-wool machine (shredder), on or about November 29, 2017 and at times prior to, suitable guards were not provided to reduce to a minimum the hazard due to point of operation (blade) and pinch points (rollers) associated with the machine, resulting in an amputation hazard.
