29 CFR 1910.1026(d)(1): The employer with a workplace or work operation covered by this standard did not determine the 8-hour time-weighted average exposure for each employee exposed to chromium (VI): (a) On or about December 7, 2017 - Production, initial monitoring had not been conducted for employees engaged in welding of metal components. Full shift sampling was performed during one shift on December 13, 2017. The 8-hour time-weighted average exposure was determined to be 0.0001 milligrams per cubic meter of air. Sampling was performed for 415 minutes and zero was assumed for the unsampled period of 65 minutes. The employer may use these sampling results to meet the initial monitoring requirement for Hexavalent Chromium or perform additional monitoring.
