29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): The distance between the abrasive wheel periphery(s) and the adjustable tongue or the end of the safety guard peripheral member at the top exceeded one fourth inch: The employer is failing ensure that employees are protected from struck-by hazards. This was most recently observed at 800 Pennington Rd., Sidney, Nebraska 69162 on December 13, 2017. Employees were using an 8 ATD Bench Grinder which had the abrasive wheel periphery opening of 3/4 of an inch. Pennington Seed Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 957610, Citation number 1, Item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/04/2014, with respect to a workplace located at 800 Pennington Rd., Sidney, Nebraska 69162 .
