29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): The point of operation of machines whose operation exposed an employee to injury, was not guarded: a). On or about 12/8/17, on site, for employees using the Carpenter Pneumatic Cable Stripper Model 77E (ST04) to strip battery cables. The Lexan interlocked safety guard that comes with the stripper was removed and not in place. A pencil was inserted into one of the openings to by-passed the interlocking system associated with the guard and allow the machine to operate without the guard in place.
