OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and burn hazards during operation of a pressurized autoclave:      a)     Extrusion Area  On or about December 27, 2017, an employee was exposed to struck by and burn hazards due to opening a pressurized autoclave (Reliable brand, Serial #1261).  The autoclave had not fully released the pressure prior to an employee opening the door because the steam release drain was frozen and prevented venting of steam.
