29 CFR 1910.1000(a)(2): Employee(s) were exposed to an airborne concentration of air contaminants listed in Table Z-1 in excess of the 8 hour Time Weighted Average and Ceiling concentrations:    (a) Employees exposed to an airborne concentration of particulates not otherwise regulated (PNOR) respirable fraction listed in table Z-1 in excess of the 8-hour Time Weighted Average (8hr TWA) concentration of 5mg/m3:     On or about March 06, 2018, an employee engaged in abrasive blasting operations was exposed to PNOR (respirable fraction) at an 8hr TWA level of 49.7 mg/m3, approximately 10 times the limit of 5mg/m3; this limit was established to prevent adverse health effects. The blaster used new and recycled Black Diamond Coal slag to blast large industrial water tees. The exposure level was derived from two samples collected over a 316 minute period with 0 exposure assumed for the remaining 164 minutes.     (b )Employees exposed to an airborne concentration of iron oxide listed in table Z-1 in excess of the 8-hour Time Weighted Average concentration of 10mg/m3:     On or about March 06, 2018, an employee engaged in abrasive blasting operations was exposed to Iron Oxide at an 8hr TWA level of 33 mg/m3, approximately 3.3 times the limit of 10mg/m3; this limit was established to prevent adverse health effects. The blaster used new and recycled Black Diamond Coal slag to blast large industrial water tees. The exposure level was derived from two samples collected over a 316 minute period with 0 exposure assumed for the remaining 164 minutes.     (c) Employees exposed to an airborne concentration of Vanadium (fume) in table Z-1 in excess of the Ceiling concentration of 0.1mg/m3:     On or about March 06, 2018, an employee engaged in abrasive blasting operations was exposed to Vanadium at an Ceiling level of 0.21mg/m3, approximately 2.1 times the ceiling limit of 0.1mg/m3; this limit was established to prevent adverse health effects. The blaster used new and recycled Black Diamond Coal slag to blast large industrial water tees. The exposure level was derived from two samples collected over a 316 minute period with 0 exposure assumed for the remaining 164 minutes.
