(a) Breakroom in Machine Shop:  The Tappan microwave was found to be contaminated with 46.66 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.  The breakroom table was found to be contaminated with 16.5730 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.            (b) Workstation in Machine Shop:  The workbench was found to be contaminated with 13.6570 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.

29 CFR 1910.1026(j)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that all surfaces were maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of chromium (VI):    On or about January 30, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to chromium (VI) contaminated surfaces while performing welding and drilling operations of stainless steel without an effective housekeeping program.    (a) Ovens Area, near restrooms:  The Haier refrigerator door handle was found to be contaminated with 68.1280 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.      (b) Swage Area:  The inspection computer keyboard was found to be contaminated with 105.5000 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.      (c) Finishing Area:  The Trinco Sandblaster was found to be contaminated with 17.2490 micrograms.  The welders helmets (a and b) were found to be contaminated with 189.5800 and 393.4200 micrograms.        (d) Machine Shop:  The Bridgeport Milling Machine was found to be contaminated with 120.3700 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.      (e) Breakroom in Machine Shop:  The Tappan microwave was found to be contaminated with 46.66 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.  The breakroom table was found to be contaminated with 16.5730 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.           (f) Workstation in Machine Shop:  The workbench was found to be contaminated with 13.6570 micrograms of hexavalent chromium.
