29 CFR 1926.303(b)(1): Grinding machines were not equipped with safety guards in conformance with the requirements of ANSI B7.1-1970, Safety Code for the Use, Care, and Protection of abrasive wheels, and paragraph (d) of this section.  A.) On or about May 2, 2018 at Concourse B, 1st Floor, LaGuardia Airport, Flushing, NY 11371                An employee was observed using a hand held 5" angle grinder missing a guard while cutting a concrete column on the 1st floor of the construction project exposing the employee to amputation hazards.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS NOT REQUIRED
