29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met:  a) On or about February 12, 2018, and at times prior, the employer did not develop, implement, or maintain a written hazard communication program addressing criteria described in 29 CFR 1910.1200, paragraphs (f)-(h).  Employees use potentially hazardous chemicals including but not limited to brake pads composed of Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), E-3 Zero VOC Degreaser, manufactured by Granitize Products Incorporated and 3M Adhesive Remover, manufactured by 3M.  E-3 Zero VOC Degreaser contains tetrasodium ethylene diamine tetraacetate (CAS 64-02-8).  3M Adhesive Remover contains methyl acetate, xylene, and ethylbenzene.  Exposure to airborne asbestos can result in an increased risk of lung disease and cancer.  Tetrasodium ethylene diamine tetraacetate can cause skin irritation and can cause serious eye damage.  Methyl acetate can cause irritation to the eyes, skin, nose and throat, as well as headaches, drowsiness, and optic nerve atrophy.  Xylene can cause irritation to the eyes, skin, nose, and throat, as well as dizziness, drowsiness, anorexia, nausea, and vomiting.  Ethylbenzene can cause irritation of the eyes, skin, and mucous membranes as well as headaches and dermatitis.  Abatement Note: Abatement certification and documentation are required for this item (see enclosed Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
