29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use: At the time of the inspection, the employer did not have a written respiratory protection program that addressed the following sections for employees required to wear 1/2 mask cartridge respirators. (i) No procedures to assess the chemical hazards to select the correct respirators for use in the workplace. -No hazard assessment had been conducted. (ii) Medical evaluations of employees to wear respirators- No medical evaluations had been conducted. (iii) Fit testing for tight fitting respirators.- No fit testing had been conducted. (vii) Training employees in respiratory hazards.- No training for hazards had been conducted. (viii) Training employees in the proper use of respirators.- Employees had not been trained to keep beard growth to a minimum to ensure a good face seal in the workplace.
