29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use: Mill Area: On or about February 23, 2018, and times prior thereto, employees were exposed to chemical hazards while handling glycol and caustic soda to process cedar wood without implementing a respiratory protection program to address key issues such as, but not limited to, training, fit testing, and medical evaluation when required to use a Gerson half-facepiece respirator and an N95 dust mask.
