29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: Painting booths & Brazing Area: In the two instances described below, the employer did not provide training to employees on hazardous chemicals in their work area: a. On or about3/6/18, employees brazing air conditioning units that had contained R-134a refrigerant were not trained to the hazards of the refrigerant and the additional hazards that may be created when it is heated. b. On or about 4/19/18, employees using paints containing isocyanates and solvents were not trained to the hazards of these chemicals.
